History of TVS and introduction of TVS Ronin

TVS Motor Company is an Indian Multinational motorcycle company which is famous for its very durable motorcycle. Even their most famous product TVS XL Heavy Duty is really famous for its durability went into Dakar Rally as well. While TVS started its journey  with XL Heavy  Duty they went for commuter bikes like TVS Starcity plus and then further they went with creating performance commuter bike the Apache product lineup.

Now Indian and whole world motorcycling norms are changing. Now motorcycle is not just a mode of transport reaching from point A to B. It is also becoming more of hobby and also one thing with experience I can say that motorcycle is most enjoyable way to get to point from A TO B. Rider is most vulnerable on motorcycle and do not have very much luxury of back supported seats and Air Conditioner but that is the most enjoyable part for most of riders.

TVS Motor Company, a company known for its creativity and dependability, has released a game changer in the motorcycle industry: the TVS Ronin. The Ronin, with its unique combination of traditional style and modern innovations, aspires to reinvent urban riding. This blog delves at the numerous facets of the TVS Ronin, including its design, performance, features, and more.

Design and Aesthetics

The design is somewhat very similar to modern retro bike which is a great look for the bike in city commuting. Its very appealing design and one thing to notice is that TVS Ronin name. The name itself is very attracting. The circular LED headlight with integrated DRLs gives it a unique appearance, while the sculpted fuel tank emphasizes its powerful attitude.

The single-piece seat is designed to provide a comfortable ride for both the rider and the pillion. The Ronin is available in a variety of hues, including Galactic Grey, Magma Red, and Lightning Black, catering to a wide range of preferences. Its design pays homage to the past while embracing the future, making it unique in its category.

But there is a certain thing to notice which might be subjective for person to person is that the look and design is very good in cities no doubt but that’s just it. The design is somewhat very much look like as a city commuter bike only. TVS Ronin does not feel like a big bike to take on long rides. One of its competition Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is also a small bike but it still looks like a bike you can do long rides on.

Engine and Performance

The TVS Ronin is powered by a sturdy 225.9cc single-cylinder engine that produces 20.4 PS of power and 19.93 Nm of torque. This engine is combined with a 5-speed transmission, which results in a smooth and responsive ride. The Ronin impresses with its performance, with a rapid 0-60 km/h time and a peak speed that will suit both city commuters and highway cruisers.

But with Highway cruising rider cannot ride this bike in triple digits speed. Under the speed of 80 to 95kmph the engine feels very smooth and very refined but with higher speed vibrations are there and heating issues will also a thing to take care of. TVS Ronin’s engine performance in city is really impressive. The light weight of bike and super responsive engine is really fun to ride in cities. One thing to say is that its engine is super responsive but not very super aggressive engine for riding. But on highway the windblasts on the bike might take off its balance.

Features and Technology

TVS Ronin is filled with modern features and technologies. The TVS Ronin is outfitted with a cutting-edge digital instrument cluster that displays all relevant information at a glance, including speed, trip meter, gear indication, and fuel gauge. Connectivity is impressive, with Bluetooth connection allowing riders to access navigation, phone alerts, and message notifications via the TVS SmartXonnect app. Dual-channel ABS prioritizes safety while providing greater braking performance and stability. The bike also has LED lighting throughout, which adds to its contemporary appearance and increases visibility.

Ride and Handling

The Ronin’s ride quality is improved by its well-tuned suspension arrangement, which includes telescopic forks up front and a gas-charged monoshock in the back. This combination provides a pleasant ride over a variety of terrains, from smooth city highways to rough rural routes. The bike’s handling is nimble and accurate, making it simple to ride through traffic and around turns. The disc brakes on both wheels provide robust braking capability, and the ABS system avoids wheel locking.

Riding in cities is super fun and especially cutting through narrow gaps of cars is really enjoyable. Especially those monsoon evening rides with cold wind on face is really a phenomenal feeling. Which is just perfectly describes why it is a perfect bike for city riding.

Price and Variants

The TVS Ronin is priced reasonably, beginning at ₹1.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in a variety of models, each with its own set of features and finishes to meet the needs of various riders. This cost puts it in a competitive position with other motorcycles in its class, offering exceptional value for the features and performance it provides.

User reviews and feedbacks

Early feedback from TVS Ronin owners has been overwhelmingly favorable, with many applauding the model’s design, riding comfort, and feature package. Riders praise the SmartXonnect system’s smooth performance and ease. However, a few customers have expressed a wish for more color selections and a little higher power output, but these are minor complaints in an otherwise well-received product.

Conclusion

The TVS Ronin is a noteworthy entry into the modern-retro motorcycle sector, with a distinct combination of appearance, performance, and technology. It is an excellent alternative for urban cyclists who want a bike that is both visually appealing and performs well.

However, if you want to do very much long distances on TVS Ronin then bike might not feel comfortable. It does not mean rider cannot ride it for long distances of course its your bike and bikes are made to cover distance from A to B in most enjoyable manner it is just not in match with character of bike.

But those evenings when you are done from your hectic day in office or work and just want to relax and have a peace of mind and when you will sit on TVS Ronin, you will feel awesome and just have a smile on your face to go to places.
